Selects a Asterist.pngAsterist.png timed or Asterist.png manual unmute-exception to the CPS-defined Conventional Personality Selective Call Unmute Type rule for selective calls, and a Asterist.pngAsterist.png timed or Asterist.png manual Unmute-exception for call alerts when the channel is Voice Mute activated by the radio-user (see the Conventional Personality In-Call User Alert Enable feature). The exception time (Asterist.pngAsterist.png timed or Asterist.png manual) is known as the Release Squelch State. For the two Asterist.pngAsterist.png timed selections below, the Auto Reset Time field partially determines how long the Release Squelch State continues.  This selection applies for the current Conventional System.

HGImportantNote.jpg

For call alerts, the Release Squelch State begins when the Voice Mute In-Call User Alert Enable feature is active and the radio has unmuted.

For selective calls when the Voice Mute In-Call User Alert Enable feature is not active, the Release Squelch State begins when the Personality’s Selective Call Unmute Type rules are met and the radio has unmuted. When the Voice Mute In-Call User Alert feature is radio-user activated, the Release Squelch State applies only to Call Alerts. This is true due to the Voice Mute feature only allowing the radio to unmute to Call Alerts.
